The April issue of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine announced on Thursday that the of the creative team CLAMP are publishing a new manga in their Cardcaptor Sakura franchise. The announcement does not list any details about the new work, and the magazine says it will announce which future issue will run the new manga when that is decided. The Japanese wording of the announcement indicates that the new manga is not a full-length series.
The March issue of the magazine had listed last month that the franchise would be getting a new project. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the original manga. NHK's BS will re-run the Clow Card arc of the Cardcaptor Sakura anime in April, starting on April 6. A book compiling previously published illustrations will ship on March 24. Six Animate Cafés in Japan will host a Cardcaptor Sakura theme starting on April 1.
