Im looking for a shounen/seinen with good art so absolutely nothing under year 2000with a main who is powerful but not a fool!! like in one piece fairy tail.....also not a wimp like in khrgood character develop and not tooo much comedy would be good. drama can also be included.thx 472bu

Undead (TERASHIMA Masashi) maybe? Sure the main character can be a wimp but his development of that fear and is amazing. And Undead had got the best artwork I've ever seen imo.
You should also check out Shin Angyo Onshi. The main character is a total badass and a strong one at that! The artwork of SAO is totally awesome as well. SAO is a manhwa though but it shouldn't matter right?

Well i dont really see any good under that year, only the one which has been ongoing up to 2000~

i somehow dont like the way the main character looks in undead and sao i started reading some time ago but the fact that the main seems weaker that his guard somehow turned me down.

i read ubel blatt and stopped after that childsex shit, cant bear with it, never !
also read zippy gamble and gantz (really good one with good character develop though i dont like his current gf^^)

Vinland Saga great art, vikings and revenge
Shin Angyo Onshi great Korean action seinen series
Eternal Sabbath great series, mind control
Mugen no Juunin from the 90's but has great art badass hero
Oyasumi Punpun Not an action seinen but great art, trippy/psychological, main's a little bit of a wimp though but he is a little bird...

xxxHolic has great art, and if you stay with the main character, eventually he becomes a lot less wimpy. There is a fair lot of comedy though...
Alichino has amazing art, and although it says Shoujo, it's the most un-Shoujo Shoujo I've ever read 😁

Datz a shame. After a couple of chapters dre is no longer any sex scenes or any of that sort, and Ubel Blat actually becomes really good.

Angel Beats--best anime of the 2010 spring season

Wolf Guy - Wolfen Crest - super powerful, arrogant protagonist, and very smart, too
Akumetsu - okay, so more like protagonists, since there's so many of him
Alive - Last Evolutionary Boy - as far as I can , he's not exactly a genius or anything but at least he's not a wimp or an complete idiot
Vinland Saga - turned somewhat emo in the latest chapter, not sure about his level of intelligence but definitely not a wimp
Ares - the main protagonist might seem kind of goofy sometimes but overall he's intelligent
Sidooh - 2 brothers are the protagonists, the younger one might seem a bit brash and ignorant but the elder's pretty level-headed and thoughtful for his age
Burning Hell - from the same mangaka that brought you Shin Angyo Onshi, another great read for your description
Threads of Time - kind of mature in that there's gore and some rape happening (hey, it's war), and the protagonist is more of a rebellious deliquent than a wimpy kid
Until Death Do Us Part - awesome protagonist and just awesome characters all around

i want to add, i dont like historical. somehow i just cant bring myself to read them.like berserk or vinland saga
also id rather have an heroine in the manga.
i like the story of ares but there seems to be no heroine in it.

You should try Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro its a masterpiece with odd art ( more you read more that kind of art grows on you ) Its manga about demon who feeds on solved cases ( or any kind of solved mysteries ) he is totally bad ass at times this manga can be very funny and yet sometimes plain creepy sometimes full of action ( in later chapters) and also very intellectual .

Also,you could try Ah! My Goddess and see for yourself ... It's ongoing for about 20 years (I think) so you'll get to see good recent art and good art from before 2000 😉
