I need your help guys. 1r1g51

On the year 2015, around the month of November, I recently found out that a Korean webtoon, Red Storm, had a novel. I was dumbfounded - because, I indeed felt that the webtoon was misleading or skipping a bit of plot developments. But then, at the moment of surprise, it became obvious to me that there had to be a reason for such feelings. And despite its vagueness (or missing scenes) for some plots, the webtoon still remains interesting to this very day.

I believe, in most cases, the novel counterpart is usually better than the drawn-artistic adaptations.

Those of you who enjoy the SpotToon. They are officially translating & therefore have the publishing rights for the Red Storm Webtoon in th the English language. If we band together and them on their facebook or email, they can take action faster.

Their Email: [email protected] & @rollingstory.com

SpotToon should have the advantage in this scenario - because, the Red Storm Novel hasn't been fan-translated yet, and people would flock more to their site due to curiosity more than the official webtoon translation (since the webtoon has been fan-translated to its latest release) and it is highly likely that SpotToon may not have Volume 2 and above (chapters 21+) in color - even if they wanted to.

If you want to know more about the novel --> WLNupdates

Red Storm was first a novel before becoming a webtoon. Cyungchan Noh, the author, had written a novel, titled by the same name, back in the year of 2006. It was later that this same novel became adapted into a webtoon, published by Daum, by the year of 2012.

It was published by Rok Media with over 300 pages for each of the 6 volumes released - containing of average 7 chapters each. It was later republished by In-Time Network, to be resurfaced, as an easily accessible online novel by March 2014.

As of yet, the Korean Novel has not been licensed into other languages.

AFAIK, Spottoon isn't in the novel business at all...

Being the lazy person that I am, I'm not likely to accept anything long-term though.

If we "beg/ask/plead" them to translate the novel using this method, how do we know it will really work? SpotToon isn't the only one that decides, the author would also have to agree. And for this to have logic - SpotToon would only translate novels that have webtoons that they already translate. How many other webtoons that SpotToon translates, besides Red Storm, have novel counterparts/adaptations?

This is a great idea, but I don't think this will happen quick enough if they only have one webtoon series that has a novel.
