I'll say it right out, I cuss. A lot. Excessively. And I'm just used to it. I cuss so freakin' much, I don't even notice anymore and the words will just slip out. I hold back around respectable adults, like parents, teachers, friends' parents, etc. I know people who cuss and I know people who hate cussing. What do you think? 😕 Hopefully this poll isn't against the rules in some way ^_^''' 5bb71

I use foul language when I need to use it. Foul language is a way to communicate your feeling or joke around with your friends. So it is an essential part of the English language.

I probably only say the F word once or twice a year.

I like to use minor swears like damn and geez a lot. However I save the more hardcore curses for when I really need them. They have a lot more effect if you don't use tham often 😀

Wow! 😲 I don't think I could go a week without saying it 🤣

I know I should slow down, but I guess I'll get around to it eventually ^_^'''

I'm a good kid. Ask my friends and they'll tell you I'm a jerk, but a nice guy. I dislike cursing excessively. I believe you don't need curse to show how angry you are to the person. Words, when grouped together carefully, can even make someone cry. I did. I made them cry because they did something to upset me. And i didn't even have to use a single curse.

I do, sometimes, but I try not to. Mostly I'll use substitute words, but sometimes the "real" ones slip out.

I have to say, I really hate hearing people swear excessively, always have (no, it's not just because I'm old). It just sounds....lame...

I don't curse, at all (although I sometimes use everyday words explosively, and my family gets the point 🙂 )

As to people around me - it used to make me uncomfortable, but my older sister does it frequently nowadays so I've gotten used to it. It still annoys me when I hear people using the F word or similar stuff in every sentence, though. I don't mind random foul language when someone gets suddenly upset, but I don't think that curse words are a necessary part of the English language. Like ares6 said, I can get my point across very well without using them, and imho it makes people sound dumb when they can't come up with a better insult than "You {insert curse word here}!".

I do, and do so rather excessively. Not in public, of course. Everyone needs to at least seem not too foul-mouthed.

Anyway, Russian has an insanely rich lexicon of foul language. Swearing in Russian is just plain pleasure. And since I learned English with the help of mass-media (including hip-hop music, for example), I swear a lot in English too. And no one's gonna stop you from swearing in English here in Russia, because it is a foreign language. I guess I'll start swearing in Russian once I move to and English-speaking country not to cause any unwanted problems in public xD

But not when it comes to your beloved forum, right?

That's right. Feels like there's two Manick. A bad ass and a goody two shoe.

I'm very reserved around people I do not know.
