youve probably never heard of him but like his name, he is indeed quite funky. he was the guy rappin on the Gorillaz hit song "Clint Eastwood", and hes got this crazy sci-fi album where hes a rapper in the year 3030, rappin about mechas and stuff!

one of very few rap groups that DONT rhyme about hoes and jewelry lol.. they have a lot of up beat songs that a lot of people can really get into

The last two you listed are not rap, they are pop.

I really don't listen to any new rappers besides Lupe Fiasco.Other than that it's older rappers and albums fromt he 80s and 90s.Ultramegnetic MCs,Rakim,Kool G. Rap,Wu,Boot Camp Clik,Jay,Nas & BIG.

depends on the listener, some people listen to the lyrics, others skim through it looking for simple and catchy beats present in other forms of music. Common Sense is like the William Blake of the hip hop age.

There are some great rap groups and rappers out there but you don't hear about them alot. Some of my favorites would have to be Cannabil Ox, Outcast, Wu Tang, A Tribe Called Quest, Atmosphere, People Under the Stairs, Deltron 3030, and Kottonmouth Kings.

I usually differentiate between "rap" and "hiphop", rap as the mainstream crap and hiphop as the stuff that true fans appreciate. Right now on my playlist I've got:

Last summer I went to Rock the Bells in New York City, saw Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Mos Def, Mr Lif, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Wu Tang.. it was amazing, over 35,000 people packed together to watch the show for 10+ hours. The odd band out was Rage Against the Machine, they were performing there as part of their comeback tour, but they aren't really hiphop..

Jealous of you because I was supposed to see ROTB in SF, but I couldn't get tickets. Rage Against the Machine is unique though, a mixture of metal, punk and hip hop.

this year rock the bells got the wu, pharcyde, tribe, mos def, de la soul, MURS, kidz in the hall, immortal, wale, dead prez, jay electronica, nas, and rakim and its hosted by B-Real.

it was pretty crazy, baking in the sun for 10 hours, we managed to get into the second section (very front section was separated from the rest by a barrier so they didn't get crushed by everybody behind them). Saw a couple people collapse from heat stroke or something, definitely a shortage of water (for 3.50 a bottle 😲 )

These groups were truly skilled, Supernatural and Rahzel were the MCs for the day. Supernatural currently holds the world record for freestyling, at over 9 hours straight 🤣 It was something else. Plus, who doesn't love being in NYC 😛
