Ichi the Killer a.k.a. Koroshiya 1 is not really a horror manga, even though it is pretty disturbingly violent at times. I would recommend anything by Itou Junji. In particular, Uzumaki is one of his more famous works and is entirely themed around the innocuous spiral shape. It gave me nightmares for a month. So awesome.

Itou Junji's works are fine, though they are more gross than have anything to do with psychological.
Bio Meat: Nectar is more a thriller than a horror to me, but since you consider Death Note and Battle Royal as horror, you should give it a try.
I don't understand Zashiki Onna, hope you better luck. And it's kind of haunting, really.
Jisatsu Circle, Hoozuki Island fit perfectly.
Doubt (TONOGAI Yoshiki) and Judge (TONOGAI Yoshiki) fit your requirements, but they are no horror to me, and the plots are predictable.
Believe me, God’s Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand is no horror, it's a fun read with ridiculously disgusting stuff.
Ichi the Killer and Homunculus are somewhat like Battle Royal....
My suggestions are Dorohedoro and Diabolo
Edit: Can someone tell me what is so great about Parasite? I dropped it after 30 chapters because it was boring, but after seeing so many people mentioned it, I don't know if I missed the better part.
