I definitely second Jormungand.
Also check Ordinary± by the same author.
Although there is no romantic subplot to speak of, if you liked C.A.T., you will surely like those two.

C.A.T it's a very good manga that I know
and I don't see any manga that good and dark more than this
(I mean It's does have more dark than C.A.T but it's not good enough)
