I was not a fan. After his initial confession, he all, but gave up on going after Mao, the whole reason he was there. I didn't like the superficial douche that she liked. c2v5a

Really? It's been going on a year since I read it myself, but I enjoyed it quite a bit overall. Of course I found it to be a fairly lighthearted story as far as the big picture went, and didn't it end up with a "happily ever after" for pretty much everybody involved anyway? Didn't our male MC basically figure out he wasn't really so much in love with his childhood (girl) friend as he was a slightly over-possessive best friend? And then he found a girl he really did love?

Oh well, to each their own 🙂

I don't know. For him to go through all of that after finding out she like the annoying guy, he had to have been in love with her.

Yeah, like I said, it's been a while since I read it, it's no big deal, to each their own.

Though I did look back at the review post I made on it and noticed I used the word "fluffy"...so yeah, at least from my point of view, I don't think I found any parts of the story to be too serious or heart wrenching where I had any strong feelings about the course of events. It was just a light 'n fluffy 2 volume romcom to me 😀

I guess I'm of the opinion that if an ending makes the journey up that point completely pointless, then its not a very good ending.
