Well, hopefully some of these answers come sooner rather than later. I'm guessing we'll learn a little bit more about the one magic during the tournament. Maybe Zeref will appear towards the end of it or something.

I'm actually kinda hoping the core group that went to the island get their asses handed to them during the tournament. I mean, the rest of the world has had a while to train and the time they're taking off to do so won't really scratch the surface.

Then again, so far in this series, it seems magic is based off of the strength of will...and doing stuff for friends makes your will indestructible.

Hahahahahaha, the latest chapter, 262. It basically set things up for what I want to have happen.

I'd like to remind you, though, that the other groups have been training all this time. And let's not forget that this group of people is exceptionally talented. Even if the rest of the world had 7 years, many simply cannot catch up to them.

I don't think the group is going to lose but I would like to see them claim victory by a very small margin. I have a feeling that the tournament is not a fight but a talent showesque thing that is going to dishearten guys like Natsu. I'd be willing to bet that whatever it is it gets interrupted by some 'evil' group winning or losing and things go off in another direction.

After that thing with the old lady I think Zeref may be like her.

Based on what was said in an early chapter, I think you might be right about it not being a straight up battle tournament. It'd be hilarious if Zeref is in the tournament doing emo visual kei poetry.

Either way, I'm pleased that the event in 262 took place. I honestly didn't see that coming.

The way they basically sidestepped the whole "if you go into the spirit realm you die" thing was a let down though. I was thinking they're would be a more involved method, but if it's honestly that simple, it might explain why Natsu could go through the spirit realm. I bet his scarf acts like the robes they wore.

you know, fairy tail is really different..i mean think about it. other manga that make main characters stronger after timeskip usually. but this one, they dont power up at all. that's what i like about it so far. XD FAIRY TAIL FOREVER! do i make sense?
