I found She's Gon yesterday and I have to say it's pretty good. Give it a try if you haven't already.

I find that when I can't find anything I fall back on the classics, Zettai Karen Children and Ruroni Kenshin, or go to one of favorites, at least until the next chapter of what I'm reading comes out.

Yeah...not all of these are long, and you've probably read most of them. I guess Lone Wolf and Cub would be the one I would recommend the most and at 28 volumes it's certainly not short.

is Vampire Juujikai really that good? idk, I've tired starting on it couple of times but I couldnt get past the first ch due to its art. It just looks wayy too much like a bishounen

Its just shoujo art and its not a pretty boy or pretty girl kind of manga
Its a masterpiece that has insane plot twists and tragedies around every corner

Immortal Regis and the sequel Cavalier of the Abyss are both excellent and I'm hard to impress (of course I also tend to go all googly eyes over anything with sentient weapons....)
